A facade you can live with for decades
The facade is how a building is read from the street. It also does hard work: shedding heat, rain and dust, resisting movement and staying attached. A stone panel that looks good on a sample board can stain, crack or detach if the fixing and substrate are wrong.
We build the structure behind the facade and finish the facade itself, which means the substrate, fixings, waterproofing and finish are coordinated. Our portfolio includes a staff accommodation building completed with a terrazzo-finished facade and luxury villas in Emirates Hills with stone, glazing and metal canopies.
Finishes we deliver
- Natural stone cladding: limestone, marble, granite and sandstone
- Porcelain and large-format tile facades
- Terrazzo and polished concrete-style finishes
- Cement render, textured plaster and paint systems
- GRC (glass-fibre reinforced concrete) features, cornices and columns
- Aluminium cladding and ACP panels alongside stone
Fixing systems
Stone can be fixed with adhesive, mechanical anchors or a ventilated rainscreen with a metal sub-frame, depending on weight, height and design. Mechanical fixings and a ventilated cavity are generally preferred for taller or heavier cladding. The right choice depends on the structure and the engineer's design, and we do not take shortcuts on fixings.
Designing for Dubai's climate
Large temperature swings and strong sun mean materials expand and contract. Movement joints, flexible sealants, breathable finishes and light-colour or reflective choices all help the facade perform. Stone selection matters too: some stones stain or fade more readily than others, so we advise on suitability before ordering.
Repair of failed cladding
Where cladding has cracked, detached or discoloured, we investigate the cause, repair or replace panels and restore the elevation. See our repair and rectification works and aluminium cladding.
