Open sightlines, safe edges
A glass balustrade keeps a view open while keeping people safe. On a luxury villa it is also a visible piece of detailing: the glass must be flat, the edges polished, the hardware minimal and every panel in line with the next.
Al Jawadri supplies and installs frameless glass balustrades. Glass is processed with edge polishing, drilling and lamination capability in-house, and fabrication only follows approved shop drawings and signed site measurements.
Balustrade types
- Frameless balcony and terrace balustrades
- Staircase glass balustrades with spigot fixings
- Glass infill between stone or metal posts
- Pool-side and roof-terrace glass
- Laminated safety glass configurations (PVB/EVA)
- Handrails and top-rail details to the design
Why detailing matters
On staircases the glass must follow the rake of the stair, spigots must sit precisely relative to the nosing, and the handrail must flow through landings without kinks. On balconies, waterproofing, drainage falls and the balustrade base fixing all have to be coordinated, which is easier when the main contractor is also the glass installer.
Projects in our portfolio include balconies and staircases at Sobha Hartland villas, external balustrades on Villa P-28 in Dubai Hills, glass-fronted balconies at Khan Villa in Al Barsha and repeated balcony glass across a G+7 residential building.
Safety and compliance
Glass type, thickness and fixing are selected to suit the loading and height, and in line with the consultant specification and applicable UAE requirements. We can supply laminated safety glass where the design calls for it.
