Glass doors that suit how the space is used
A glass door is one of the few elements people touch every day, so alignment, weight and hardware matter as much as the glass itself. In a villa it might open a majlis onto a terrace; in an office it separates a meeting room without closing off daylight; in a showroom it is the first thing a visitor pushes. Each one calls for a different system.
Al Jawadri supplies and installs glass doors as a standalone package or as part of a main contract. Because we also build the structure around them, door openings, floor finishes, thresholds and ceiling details are coordinated before the glass is ordered, not corrected afterwards.
Door types we install
- Frameless swing doors with patch fittings or floor springs
- Pivot doors for wide, statement entrances
- Sliding glass doors, top-hung or bottom-rolling
- Aluminium-framed sliding and folding doors for terraces and balconies
- Glass doors inside partitions, shower enclosures and wardrobes
- Black, bronze, brushed and polished stainless hardware finishes
Choosing the right glass
Interior frameless doors are normally toughened (tempered) glass, commonly 10 mm or 12 mm, which breaks into small blunt pieces rather than long shards. Where extra safety or sound reduction is needed, laminated glass is used. External doors are a different matter: in Dubai's heat they should be double-glazed units with a solar-control or low-E coating so the room stays comfortable and the air conditioning is not working against the sun. We explain the options in our guide to glass types for Dubai buildings.
How a project runs
We measure the finished opening, prepare shop drawings for your approval, agree glass type, finish and hardware, then fabricate and install. Doors are checked for plumb, gap and closing action before handover, and any adjustment is made on site rather than left for you to chase.
What helps us quote quickly
Door locations and approximate sizes, whether the door is internal or external, the swing or slide direction you want, preferred glass tint and hardware finish, and a photo of the opening or the architectural drawing.
