The wall that every other trade depends on
If a wall is out of plumb, a frameless glass door will not close evenly. If plaster is wavy, paint and lighting reveal every ripple. If an external plaster layer is poorly bonded, cracks and staining follow. The unglamorous trades set the ceiling on how good the finished building can look.
We build full structures as main contractor, including a staff accommodation building completed with a terrazzo-finished facade, so blockwork and plastering are controlled as part of the whole job rather than treated as filler between concrete and finishes.
What we deliver
- Internal and external blockwork, solid and hollow, including thermal block where specified
- Internal plastering and external cement render
- Decorative plaster, textured finishes and feature walls
- Boundary walls, planters and fences in block and stone
- Lintels, reveals, openings and setting-out for frames and glazing
- Fire-rated and acoustic wall build-ups to the specification
Setting out for the trades that follow
Openings for glass, aluminium and doors are set out to the shop drawings, so frames fit without chasing or packing. Wall thickness, reveals and finish levels are agreed with the architect and coordinated with tile layouts and services before work starts.
Why external plaster is different in Dubai
External surfaces face strong sun, thermal movement and humidity. Good practice includes proper curing, movement joints where required and a compatible paint system. Thermal block and insulation help limit heat transfer and are worth considering for villas, subject to the consultant's design.
Quality checks
We check plumb, line, level and flatness against the drawings before plastering and again before painting, and correct problems while they are inexpensive to fix.
