Privacy without losing the light
Glass lets light travel across a space, but not every space wants to be seen into. Meeting rooms need discretion, bathrooms and bedrooms need privacy, and street-facing glass often needs a degree of glare control. Decorative and privacy glass solves this without resorting to blinds or solid walls.
We supply and apply a range of treatments, and combine them with partitions, doors, shower enclosures, balustrades and facades. In a corporate business centre in Emaar Square we installed full-height glass partitions with privacy film and aluminium-framed doors, a good example of how the treatment and the frame work as a single design.
Options
- Frosted and acid-etched finishes for soft, uniform privacy
- Privacy and decorative film in frost, gradient, pattern or branded designs
- Tinted and reflective glass for glare and solar control
- Back-painted glass for walls, splashbacks and feature panels
- Low-iron (ultra-clear) glass for accurate colour and a bright edge
- Printed or ceramic-frit patterns for decorative and shading effects
Film or glass treatment?
Privacy film is the quickest route and works well on existing glass, with the option to change it later. Treated glass such as etched or back-painted glass is made as part of the pane and is more durable in wet or heavily touched areas. We advise on which suits the location, budget and expected lifespan.
Applied cleanly
Film needs a clean, dust-free surface, careful trimming and no bubbles or edge lifting. We prepare the glass, apply panel by panel, and finish edges neatly so the result looks intended and not added afterwards.
