A shower enclosure that works every day
A shower screen has a simple job, and a lot can go wrong: a door that drags, a gap that leaks across the floor, hinges that loosen or glass that clouds with limescale. Good enclosures are measured precisely, made from the right glass, and hung on hardware that carries the load without sagging.
Al Jawadri's work in a luxury Marina residence included full-width bathroom mirrors, frameless shower enclosures and glass partitions, all coordinated with the finishes around them. That attention to how glass meets tile and stone is what separates a polished bathroom from an ordinary one.
Layouts
- Fixed screens for walk-in showers
- Hinged doors, with wall-to-glass or glass-to-glass hinges
- Sliding frameless doors for tight spaces
- Corner, quadrant and bespoke-shaped enclosures
- Steam-room style full-height enclosures with a sealed door
- Return panels and fixed side panels
Glass, edges and hardware
Shower glass is toughened for safety, commonly 8 mm, 10 mm or 12 mm depending on size and layout, in clear, low-iron, frosted or tinted finishes. Edges are polished, and hardware is available in chrome, brushed, black and bronze finishes. An optional hydrophobic coating helps water bead off and reduces limescale marks, which is useful wherever the water leaves deposits.
Measure after tiling
Toughened glass cannot be trimmed on site, so measurements are taken after tiling and waterproofing are complete, with the walls checked for plumb and the floor for fall. We then fabricate and install, seal, adjust the door and leave the bathroom clean. If we are also your main contractor, the enclosure is planned from the start so the tile layout, drain position and fixing points all agree.
To price your enclosure
Send a photo and rough dimensions, the layout you want, glass type and hardware finish, and tell us whether tiling is finished. We will arrange measuring on site.
