Project Overview
Perforated metal cladding gives showroom façades their depth and texture, but it is unforgiving: a damaged or distorted panel interrupts the pattern across a whole elevation. This project involved rectifying damage to the honeycomb-perforated panels at an Audi showroom.
The close-up photograph shows the damaged area, where the perforated sheet has lost its plane and alignment at the lower edge. The after photograph shows the same façade rectified: the pattern runs uninterrupted from the entrance column to the corner, seams are tight and the panel plane is true.
Cladding rectification for brand-sensitive buildings has to be invisible when finished. We assess the cause, repair or replace the affected panels, restore fixings and alignment, and hand the façade back looking as if nothing had happened.
Capabilities demonstrated
- Damage survey and cause assessment
- Perforated panel repair and replacement
- Fixing, joint and alignment restoration
- Access and protection around live entrances
- Finish matching to the surrounding façade
