Project Overview
Vehicle entrances take the hardest wear on any commercial site. At this Audi service centre the main entrance paving needed rectification: blocks were lifted back to the bedding layer, the base reset and the interlock re-laid so the surface reads as one continuous, level plane in front of the showroom glazing.
The photographs capture both stages. In the first, blocks are stacked beside the area being relaid, with fresh bedding sand and the showroom frontage behind. In the second, a clean charcoal interlock surface runs to the road with directional arrows and parking markings, and no visible dips or lipping.
Rectification in a live commercial environment is as much about sequencing and protection as it is about laying. Customers still need to get in, cars still need to move, and the finished surface has to look as good as the showroom it fronts.
Capabilities demonstrated
- Interlock paving lift, reset and re-lay
- Bedding and sub-base correction
- Level and falls control for drainage
- Kerb edge restraint and jointing
- Phased works around an operating service centre
